Parents' FAQ
Quick answers for grown-ups.
What is Kids Love the Sea?
A free 3D ocean that kids explore in a web browser. They swim through real places like the Great Barrier Reef, the Arctic and Antarctica, tap animals to meet them, and hear short spoken facts.
What age is it for?
Children aged 3 to 9. Little ones can play without reading: everything is tap, look and listen. Older kids can read the fun facts.
Is it really free?
Yes. The whole ocean is free to play with no ads. Optional printable activity packs are for sale, and those purchases help us add new animals and seas.
Does it need an app or an account?
No. It runs in Safari, Chrome or any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. There is nothing to install and no sign-up.
Is it safe for my child?
We collect no personal data from children, show no ads and have no chat. Purchases sit behind a grown-ups gate (a simple sum), and only a parent's email is asked for at checkout.
Are the animals realistic?
Yes. Each animal lives in its real habitat and moves the way it does in nature: polar bears roam the Arctic ice, emperor penguins huddle in Antarctica, and clownfish hide in anemones.
Which seas can we explore?
Three seas so far: the Great Barrier Reef, the Polar Seas (Arctic and Antarctica) and the Midnight Zone of the deep ocean, with more than 100 animals and new ones added over time.
What is in the printable packs?
The Ocean Adventure Pack has 20 A4 pages: coloring pages where kids also count the animals and trace their names, mazes, counting and adding pages, tracing words and numbers, and an Ocean Explorer certificate. A free sampler is available too.
How do I get the printables after buying?
Checkout is through Shopify. You get an instant PDF download link by email, and you can print it as many times as you like at home.
Who made it?
Sam, a mum in Singapore, built it with her daughter Amelia, who is the chief tester. Read our story on the About page.
Can kids learn from it?
Yes. Kids learn animal names, where animals live and simple true facts, and the printables practise counting, early writing and fine motor skills.
